InterWest Technology Group provides analysis and management services for automotive electronic catalog data. Our work is built around Auto Care ACES (fitment) and PIES (product information) standards, plus the practical requirement that your internal records and supplier files have to match what you publish.

1. ACES and PIES compliance review

We examine your catalog files against current Auto Care ACES and PIES requirements.

Typical review work includes:

  • Structure and completeness checks
  • Invalid, missing, or outdated vehicle applications
  • Over-mapping and overlap
  • PIES segment gaps (descriptions, attributes, packaging, digital assets, interchange)
  • Version and receiver-readiness issues

You receive findings you can act on—not a generic “your data needs work” note.

2. Catalog data management

Cleanup is only useful if the file stays clean.

We can manage catalog data on an ongoing basis:

  • Scheduled revalidation
  • New-part and superseded-part updates
  • Fitment maintenance as vehicle coverage changes
  • Controlled file delivery for distributors, retailers, and other receivers

3. Receiver and marketplace delivery

We supply catalog data to AutoZone, NAPA, O’Reilly, Amazon, and Advance Auto. Meeting Auto Care ACES and PIES is only the floor; many of these programs stack extra validation and formatting rules on top. We work to the receiver’s requirements so files are not only valid, but accepted.

4. Internal information and fitment alignment

Your warehouse system, PIM, price files, and published catalog are often close—but not the same.

We work with your team to:

  • Compare internal part information to published PIES content
  • Reconcile fitment you believe is correct with ACES applications that actually publish
  • Document gaps so operations, product, and catalog teams are looking at one version of the truth

5. Supplier catalog quality

Bad supplier files become your problem the moment you ingest them.

We work with your part suppliers to:

  • Review inbound ACES/PIES quality before it contaminates your catalog
  • Identify recurring defects by supplier
  • Set a practical quality bar for files you will accept
  • Support suppliers who need a clearer path to a usable submission

6. Part images for online catalogs

Catalog data is only half of a listing. The image beside it has to be clean, consistent, and correctly identified before it is usable in an online catalog.

We prepare and classify part images for catalog inclusion:

  • Image cleanup, so part photos become consistent, usable files suited to catalog presentation
  • Image classification, labeling and organizing views such as top view so each image lands in the right place in the online catalog
  • Matching image assets to the part records they belong to, for inclusion in online and electronic catalogs

7. PAdb research, classification, and documentation

Every part type carries its own set of attributes, and Auto Care maintains a standard for them in the Part Attribute database (PAdb). Those attributes belong in the catalog, and they often drive the searches and filters buyers use to find a part.

We research and document part attributes against that standard:

  • PAdb research, determining which attributes apply to each part type and what values the standard expects
  • Classification and documentation of attributes by part type, recorded so they publish with your PIES content
  • Review of existing attribute data for gaps and inconsistent values where catalog search depends on them

8. Supersession management and the monthly supersession report

Parts get replaced, and the catalog has to say so. When a supersession is missed, buyers land on a number you no longer sell and the lookup sends them nowhere.

We keep supersession relationships current in your catalog data and report on them every month:

  • Supersession management, recording replacement relationships between old and new part numbers so superseded parts still resolve to what you sell today
  • Updating ACES applications and PIES records as parts are replaced, so fitment and product information follow the supersession
  • A monthly supersession report covering the supersessions applied that month and the current state of the affected catalog records
  • Review of supplier supersession notices, so changes coming from your part suppliers are reflected in the published catalog rather than sitting in an inbox
